What is Claude?
Claude is an AI assistant made by Anthropic, an AI safety company. You talk to it in plain English, and it writes, reads, analyses, plans and, when connected to your tools, does work.
Claude the assistant, Claude the operator
In a browser tab, Claude is a very good assistant: you paste something in, it helps. Set up properly in a business, it becomes an operator: it has a brief about your business, access to your email, calendar and files, memory of how you work, skills for the jobs you do repeatedly, and scheduled tasks that run without being asked. The gap between those two is the whole reason our business exists.
What Claude can do in a business
Read and triage email. Draft replies in your voice. Summarise meetings into actions. Write proposals, reports and policies from your own material. Pull data from spreadsheets and systems into live dashboards. Run weekly and monthly routines on a schedule. Flag overdue invoices, stuck jobs and cold leads.
What Claude cannot do
It does not know your business until someone tells it. It will not replace judgement on pricing, hiring or legal matters. It makes mistakes, which is why we build a review step into every workflow until it is proven.
The pieces you will hear about
Projects (a workspace with its own files and instructions), skills (saved ways of doing a repeated job), connectors (links to your tools), memory (what it remembers between conversations), scheduled tasks (work that runs on a timer), and Claude Code (for developers).
